New marketing vs. old marketing
Are you trying to gain new customers using old marketing? Could you make better use of your marketing time using new marketing? In his book "Meatball Sundae; Is your marketing out of sync?" Seth Godin contrasts old marketing and new marketing. He states "New marketing is about fashion and stories and permission and promises." Instead of telling your potential customers about your features you want to be telling them your stories. These stories would be about how others have used your services and benefited as a result. Stories are much more interesting than listening to a list of features. Stories also help potential customers understand how they might be able to use your services. Also, new marketing is about getting permission rather than interrupting. New marketing does not use phone calls and spam. Instead, you get your potential customers' permission to market them and then you market them in a way that is not interruptive. Action steps:
