I was watching CBS Sunday Morning on television this past Sunday morning. A story about Kenny G came on. Early in this piece they said Kenny G's success is due to his knowing how to market himself in addition to being a great musician. Kenny G could have been a great saxophone player that no one knew about if he didn't know how to market himself. He could have lived out his life playing saxophone in obscurity.

Many nurse entrepreneurs find themselves in this same situation. They have great skills but no one knows about them. Do you see yourself in this scenario? Then do something NOW to increase your marketing know how!

I discovered that this even applied to me this year. I am in the process of revamping my marketing plan for this year and including more social networking in my plan. Perhaps this is why the story on Kenny G caught my attention.
