Automate your contact with your prospects
Make your sales process as easy as you can by automating your process. I've said in the past that you need to make at least 7 contacts with each potential customer before they are likely to buy from you. I have a downloadable worksheet you can use for this process. Use that worksheet now to plan out your 7 contacts and begin using it so you don't find yourself stuck, not knowing what to do next. See the 7+ Touches Marketing Chart. Include a variety of ways you will contact these potential customers. Some of the obvious ways that nurse entrepreneurs think of right away are telephone and snail mail. Have you considered using networking, social networking sites, email, in person contact, and industry functions? Snail mail can also involve a variety of tools such as a package, card, letter, or postcard. Try to think of 7 unique ways to contact your potential customers. Write out these 7 contacts and then check them off each time you use that method for a particular customer. Following a 7 step plan with each prospect will make it easy for you to stay on track with your sales process even when you feel as though you are too busy. You will no longer experience the frustration of trying to think of what to do next with a particular prospect. You will have planned it out and you will simply be following your plan.
