Many nurses I've heard from have told me that it's hard for them to promote themselves. They're not comfortable promoting their nurse business and themselves. They think of promoting their nursing products and services as bragging. Self promotion doesn't need to seem like bragging. If it's more about your customers and their problems and less about you it won't sound like bragging.

If you clearly and accurately describe your customer's problems and then have a concise, targeted solution you will not need to "brag" about your products or services. All you need to do is engage your potential customers in a discussion of their problems and then explain how your nurse business products or services will solve their problems. If you're able to engage in these types of discussions, your potential customers will seek more information from you rather than you needing to spew information.

Your nurse entrepreneur products or services need to be the best solution for your potential customer. To be successful and not have to sound like you're trying to push your services you need to be well above the crowd, not running as part of the pack. If you're exceptionally good at what you do, people will go out of their way to find a way to buy from you. You'll need to be compelling! Compelling is the difference between good and great, between acceptable and must have, between helpful and essential.

The primary reason nurses find self promotion to be so difficult is because they don't fully understand self promotion. Self promotion done right is more about your potential customer than it is about you. Provide exceptional, compelling solutions to your customer's problems and they will be drawing ideas and solutions from you rather than you having to find a way to present them.
