To succeed you need to be focused
LeaRae Keyes, RN

Focus is one of the critical elements of business success. As a business owner you know your time is one of your most valuable assets. So you need to be sure that you are using it wisely. It is important to be focused on the thing that will most likely bring you success. Thinking, doing, and working on the one thing in front of you is being focused.

Being focused requires structure, a supportive framework. Structure enables you to organize yourself and use your time effectively to accomplish the things you need to accomplish. Creating structure allows you to set yourself up to be successfully focused.

Set a goal and identify the steps you will need to take to accomplish your goal. Many entrepreneurs are easily distracted which makes it all that more important to be focused. Identify tasks to be completed daily, weekly and monthly. Review this list daily and check off the tasks as you complete them.

Imagine being focused, knowing clearly where you are heading and taking the necessary actions to get there. Seeing yourself having achieved your goal will be a powerful force to pull you forward. The reason visualization is so powerful is because as you create pictures in your mind of seeing yourself with what it is you want to accomplish, you are forming thoughts and feelings of already having it.

Action steps:

  1. Figure out what it is that you REALLY want.
  2. Identify the daily, weekly, and monthly steps to get you there.
  3. Plan time into your calendar to complete these steps.
  4. Visualize yourself having already achieved your goals.
  5. Focus and complete the steps in your plan.
  6. Reward yourself for getting closer to your goal.
