Never Give Up!
LeaRae Keyes, RN

There are times when running your nurse business may seem like an uphill battle. One of the biggest challenges for nurses is sales and marketing. You need to be marketing even when you are busy, even when you don't feel like it, and even when you don't know what else to try.

If what you're doing isn't working do something else. Pick several news ideas each month to implement. If you've run out of ideas call a meeting. Invite people who are creative, positive, and good problem solvers. You can do this in person, on a conference call or even a chat session.

Brainstorming can be an incredibly powerful tool for generating ideas on a variety of topics. On a recent Nurse Entrepreneur Network MasterMind call we discussed topics that were very diverse and many great ideas were revealed. Topics ranged from attracting nurses to sign up for a class on becoming a patient advocate, to ideas on what type of nurse business to start, to creating CDs and DVDs to sell.

You don't have to be alone when you run into challenges with your nurse entrepreneur business. Seek out help from others and surround yourself with people who care about your business and you.
