After you have decided on a product or service for your nurse owned business and you have written your business plan, your next step is to determine how you will promote your product or service. You will have identified some of the parts of your promotion plan while you were developing your business plan. However, there are a few key components of your promotion plan that you probably did not include in your business plan.

Your basic promotion plan will answer the following questions:

• Where you will find your target audience
• How you will contact your target audience
• What methods or avenues will you use to contact your target audience
• What benefits of your product or services will really excite your target audience
• How much you will charge
• What date you will launch
• Who you'll contact to get the word out about your product or service

The steps that you need to take to implement this plan should be apparent as you read through your answers.

• Develop your promotion plan
• Identify the steps you need to take to implement the plan
• Take action on those steps
